Treasure Cay is not actually a cay. It is a peninsula on the north shore of Great Abaco, and it is known for one thing above all: a long crescent of white sand that turns up on most lists of the best beaches in the Caribbean.
The airport (TCB) is a port of entry and sits about ten minutes from the beach. It is also the closer airport for the northern Abaco settlements and for the ferry to Green Turtle Cay, which is a different and quieter kind of Abaco altogether.

What to do in Treasure Cay
Treasure Cay Beach
Three and a half miles of sand in a shallow curve, with water that stays waist-deep a long way out. It is the calmest swimming beach in the Abacos.
Green Turtle Cay
A twenty-minute ferry from the Treasure Cay dock. New Plymouth is a loyalist settlement of narrow lanes and clapboard houses, and the beaches on the ocean side are usually empty.
Bonefish flats
The flats around the Marls, on the west side of Great Abaco, are among the most productive bonefishing grounds in the country and an easy run from Treasure Cay.
Golf and the marina
Treasure Cay has a marina and a golf course laid out along the water, which makes it an easy base for a group that wants different things from the same week.

How long is the flight to Treasure Cay?

Treasure Cay or Marsh Harbour?
Treasure Cay if you are heading for the beach, Green Turtle Cay or the northern settlements. Marsh Harbour if you want Hope Town, Man-O-War or Great Guana. They are about forty minutes apart by road, so the right airport saves real time.
Is Treasure Cay a port of entry?
Yes, TCB clears customs and immigration on the field. The Bahamas customs processing fee is $150 one-way or $300 round-trip per flight, and every passenger needs a valid passport and a return ticket.
How long is the flight from Florida?
